What service do you offer?
What’s been my biggest leadership challenge?
Being selected to co-chair my company’s Inclusion and Diversity Committee. It was a great honour, exciting, rewarding and with a daunting business-critical brief.
What made it so difficult?
There were a lot of stakeholders and all of them had different start points, passions and agendas. There was a lot of expectation that there would be very rapid action. Everyone on the committee had a different experience of working for the company and a different style of working.
What helped me overcome this challenge?
Building relationships with each member of the team. Spending time with stakeholders individually to understand their points of view by trying to put myself in their shoes. Picking my battles and sponsors with care,
What did I learn?
That building a vison with a diverse team takes longer but is so much richer and easier to get buy in to. If someone says something that you disagree with don’t immediately start putting your side of the argument. Be curious about why they think so differently from you.
What’s my style as a thinking partner?
I enjoy working with clients to support and challenge them to draw out new perspectives and insights about where they are now and where they really want to get to. I am very pragmatic and place particular emphasis on working through the challenges of applying this new knowledge so that it makes a tangible difference.
What's my professional background?
I have 20 years’ experience in professional services for leading Market Insight providers, IRI, and Kantar Worldpanel (WPP). My commercial role was to develop successful commercial relationships with a wide range of clients from diverse business cultures. My experience includes collaboration with senior leadership teams from branded and own label manufacturers, UK retailers as well as dynamic start-up businesses.
In these roles, I successfully built, led and developed large service and sales teams. I’ve been personally involved in the development of over 200 people over the course of my career.
Who have I worked for?
- Arnold Hill & Co LLP
- European Bank
What do I do away from work?
I’m passionate about coaching even in my spare time and am currently halfway through an MSc in coaching and behavioural change. I love spending time with my family and friends eating, drinking and generally making merry and then making up for it at the gym!
What credentials and qualifications do I have?
- Henley Business School – Professional Certificate in Coaching

What people are saying
“‘Caroline never once judged what I was saying, and it is testament to her relationship building skills and how personable she is that I have only ever heard positive feedback on how she has supported people to develop and reach out for their potential. I could not recommend Caroline enough”
Patsy, Operations, Entertainment
“At the end of a key discussion point, she would help me to start thinking about potential actions by really challenging me to think about what I may do differently/as a result and even start to form a plan by really probing me to think about ‘how am I going to do that? And what steps will I take?”
